How It Works: Simple But Powerful!

• Signing up

- Your employer, organization, school, property group, etc. may have a custom sign up page. Look for it first.
- If there isn't a group for you, just click on "Sign Up Now".

• Creating your account profile

- After creating your profile, you will get an email asking you to confirm that you signed up on the website.

• Entering your trip information

- Enter your origin and destination using addresses, choosing from a list, or clicking on a map. If you want a regular ride-share, pick the days of the week you want to ride-share. Or, if you want to ride-share on a particular day, pick the date.
- You can even enter a one-way price to your trip, so people know what you'd like to collect (if you're a driver), or what you'd like to pay (if you're a passanger). Use our handy cost calculator to help arrive at a price (see below).
- In the "Message to other commuters", specify any relevant info you'd like to tell others about. For example, maybe you travel with your pet in the car, or your work schedule is very flexible, or you have to drop your child off at daycare/school, or maybe you're searching for a ride-share on any day of the week, but you actually only want to ride-share a couple of days a week. It's up to you!

• Checking that the route displayed is accurate

- If you're a driver, a route will automatically be generated and displayed using Google Maps
- If it's not your preferred route, you can change it easily by clicking on the map to add "waypoints". Be sure to add them in the direction of your travel (i.e. from home to work). You can also drag the waypoints around.
- Be sure to zoom in to improve the accuracy of placing and dragging waypoints (use the slider, or "+" or "-" signs that are on the upper left side of the map)

• Searching for matches

- The Website searches through thousands of listings for other people who want to go to your destination at roughly the same time. It also checks if you can be picked up along someone's way, or if you can pick someone else up (but only if you're a driver!).
- Play with the settings until you fine tune the results until your very best matches are displayed. Not sure what some of the settings are? Hover above any question mark icon to get pop-up help about a particular setting.
- When you find a match that looks good, click on "More info"

• Sending an invitation to ride-share

- You don't get to see their contact info until you send them an invitation and they accept it.



- This is what the other person sees after they receive your invitation, OR you will see this if someone sends an invitation to you

• Forming a Ride-Share!

- When the other person accepts your invitation (OR you accept an invitation from someone else), you BOTH get to each other's email address so you can start emailing each other about the details of your ride-share.
- It's a good idea to start with emailing, then talking over the phone, then meeting in a public place, and if all of that works out, starting your ride-share!
